Master Michael Rhoades:
Master and Mentor to Master Michael Nestor
Vice-President and Founder of Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido USA, Inc. and Hapkido-USA, Inc.
Master Rhoades has received his 6th Degree Black Belt in Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido from Grandmaster Kim Myung
Yong. He is also pending his 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. Master Rhoades holds internationally recognized
certification through the Korea Hapkido as well as the World Taekwondo Federations.
Master Rhoades travels around the world expanding his knowledge and his students are fortunate enough to reap the
rewards! Having been featured on television and in several martial arts magazines, he is a well-recognized individual
on an international level. Traveling to South Korea annually to attend the International Hapkido Championships,
Grandmaster Rhoades maintains a strong relationship with his instructor.
Grandmaster Rhoades also holds the honor of being the first non-Korean ever to graduate from the Master’s Course
hosted in Korea in 2001 with honors.
Volunteering his time on a regular basis to the area school districts to promote the education of self-defense has made
him a recognized, valued member of the cities of Wentzville and Warrenton as well as St. Louis, St. Charles, Warren
and Lincoln Counties.
Grandmaster Rhoades served in the Special Operations Units as a Ranger in the Army before opening his first school
in Warrenton in 1994. He also provides training to law enforcement departments with his defensive tactics program,
ROPE.
